Description:

TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• To assist staff in all procedures
• Assist in sterilization of equipment based on Infection Prevention guidelines.
• Ensure waste disposal according to standard protocols
• Performed all activities related to the cleanliness of the facility.
• Washing patients related linen and towels
• Preparation of Chlorine solution daily for disinfection
• Attend to and assist patient during all stages of labour.
• Assist Medical supervisor and inform labour progress including vitals.
• Give the necessary supervision care and advice to women during pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period.
• Conduct deliveries independently at the facility and community levels.
• Provide primary care to women of reproductive age.
• Share knowledge skills with midwifery, medical, and nursing students regarding pregnancy and childbirth.
• Participate in research, professional organization, and related communities.
• Participate in the provision of 24/7 maternity service which may require evening/night or on-call duty.
• Any task assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification:

• Diploma in Midwifery with valid PNC registration

Experience:
• 01-03 years of relevant experience in Tertiary Healthcare
