Job Description

A professional who will work within the Authority to monitor and evaluate how well risks are managed, projects are being undertaken and internal processes are working. He will also provide consulting services and advising management on how to improve system and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Attending meetings with various departments to develop an understanding of Authority’s processes.
• Ensure that goods, works and services have been procured in accordance with the Government’s rules and procedures and have been properly documented and accounted for.
• Identify areas for improvement in internal systems, processes, and practices, and provide recommendations for enhancements.
• Ensure that the funds assigned to specific agencies are spent in accordance with the Government’s rules and regulations.
• Ensure monthly expenditures statements and financial records on periodic basis.
• Monitoring of bank guarantees (i.e. bank confirmations, timely renewals etc) and insurance policies and report issues to the concerned officials for necessary action.
• Visiting project sites to meet relevant staff and obtain documents and information.
• Researching and assessing how well risk management processes are working and recording the results.
• Maintains confidentiality and objectivity in all audit -related matters and interactions.
• Anticipating emerging issues through research and interviews and deciding how best to deal with them.
• Preparing audit reports to highlight issues and problems and distributing the reports to the relevant people.
• Managing a variety of stakeholders and their expectations through regular communications.
