Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for managing and reducing technical and commercial losses within the PSC department by:
• Resolving service/complaint tickets within TAT.
• Identifying and addressing gaps between energy input and billed consumption.
• Supervising theft detection and meter discrepancy resolution to minimize revenue loss.
• Accounting for unbilled revenue through load tapping or new connections.
• Leading a team of MIOs to control theft, inspect and prepare quality SIRs, and discourage illegal connections
Areas of Responsibilities:
• Loss Monitoring, Control and Consumer Mapping:
• Ensures loss reduction by discouraging use of hook connections (legal/illegal) and promotes use of energy through metered connections.
• Controls theft through the team of MIOs, manages and supervises their activities of inspection and ensures quality SIR for onwards preparation of irregular bills.
• Monitors timely processing of IRBs, allowances (billing complaints) and rebates where applicable as per the approval matrix.
• Prepares and arranges SLDs of every LT and HT connections of PSC
• Identifies other loss reduction avenues and coordinate with relevant departments i.e. Preventive Maintenance, New Connection to implement loss reduction projects/schemes.
• Monitors daily cycle day-wise theft detection/average cases for corrective action
• Ascertains quality of SIRs and suggests appropriate actions based on the data/observations gathered through SIRs.
New Connection Cases B-80:
• Ensures the processing of Case ID of New Connection below 80 KW from scrutiny of documents to planning of survey, BOM towards issuance of estimate to concluding at meter installation, all within TATs of Asaan Meter Policy. - Makes sure that all safety procedures are adopted during meter installation process
• Oversees schedule of new connections’ installations - Monitors New Connections that are be taken on billing panel within TAT
• Bulk to Individual Metering cases processing and pursuance with Cluster tech team and NC A-80 team.
• New Connection A-80
• Coordinate with CCE/NCSD and NCPE team for Government connection cases processing and execution.
• Ensure that all cases are being processed within TAT.
Technical Liaison:
• Coordinate with Govt / Civic Agencies and Cluster Tech Team for fault rectification.
• Coordinate with Cluster Tech team for preparation of schemes (LS Free Supplies/Pole Shifting)
Data Management & Reporting:
• Ensure to update SIRs data of surveys conducted by site teams.
• Ensure daily reporting of work done in the section.
• Ensure all data is kept with sanity and readily available as and when required
• Ensure to maintain score card of MIOs
Conversion of DP Connection into Metered Connection
• Conversion of all DP cases into metered connection, On the basis of Ownership provided, Convert the All DP connections ( 05 in Nos.) and futher newly added DP connections, into the metered connection based on the best site findings.
Sweeping of DP - Inactive Connections
• Survey of all DP Accounts that are inactive and requires re-survey to re-validate the actual site current position, any usage of DP connection to be taken up with concerned civic agency for ownership
Education:
• Minimum BE in Electrical/Electronics
Experience:
• Minimum 2 to 3 year of relevant experience
• Previous experience in surveying, electrical maintenance, or similar roles is an advantage.
• Comfortable with walking, climbing, and performing physical tasks as required during inspections.
Knowledge:
• Awareness of Distribution Network and equipment
• Understanding of relevant SOPs, guidelines and quality standards
• Knowledge of maintenance and operation on metering equipment
• Knowledge of understanding HT/LT network, Record keeping.
