Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement service transition processes and procedures to ensure the smooth and efficient transition of new or modified services and systems into production environments.
• Work closely with the development, testing, and operations teams to ensure that releases are thoroughly tested and meet all quality standards before being deployed.
• Coordinate and manage release schedules to ensure that releases are delivered on time and within budget.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure that all necessary approvals are obtained before releasing changes into the production environment.
• Develop and maintain release and transition documentation, including transition plans, release notes, and deployment instructions.
• Manage the release process, including deployment, rollback, and post-release activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including vendors, service providers, and internal departments.
• Identify and mitigate risks through the development of a transition to operations checklist and operations acceptance process.
• Continuously improve the release management process by identifying areas for improvement and implementing best practices
• Provide regular status updates and metrics to management and other stakeholders.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in release/deploy and transition management.
• Strong understanding of ITIL processes, including release management, change management, and incident management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong data analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Skills
