Job Description:

1. · Regularly monitor and clean staff and patient washrooms, ensuring proper cleaning SOPs at all times.
2. · Clean and disinfect patient rooms, examination rooms, operating rooms, and other hospital areas.
3. · Dispose medical and general waste according to infection control guidelines.
4. · Replenish supplies such as toilet paper, soap, and hand sanitizers.
5. · Clean floors, windows, and surfaces using appropriate cleaning methods and equipment
6. · Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and stored correctly.
7. · Report any maintenance issues or hazards to the supervisor
8. · Follow hospital protocols for hygiene, infection control, and safety.
9. · Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
10. · Assist in emergency cleaning needs, including spills or outbreaks
11. · Ensure housekeeping trollies are neat and clean during the shift
12. · Use color coding mop as per guidelines.
13. · Hand over clean floor to the next shift
14. · Clean, mop, scrub, sweep or vacuum floors, stairways and halls
15. · Clean patient rooms and/or offices thoroughly by mopping floors, washing furniture, and cleaning and washing washroom fixtures
16. · Ensure sanitation of hospital premises
17. · Accountable to be present on allocated location and in case of shift change, handover tasks to the next shift properly
18. · Adhering to all safety regulations, including the safe handling of chemicals and equipment
19. · Perform any other task assigned by the immediate supervisor
