We collect information to operate JobGlobe and provide services for job seekers and employers.
- Account data (job seekers & employers): name, email, password (encrypted),
phone (optional), profile details, saved searches, job alerts, preferences.
- Job postings (employers): company name/logo, job title, description,
responsibilities, qualifications, location, salary range, application method, contact
details, tags/categories.
- Applications & attachments (job seekers): CV/resume, cover letters, answers
to screening questions, portfolio links, other documents you upload or submit.
- Communications: messages you send us, support tickets, feedback,
employer–candidate messages where applicable.
- Usage & device data: IP address, device and browser type, language,
referral URLs, pages viewed, actions taken, approximate location, timestamps, and diagnostic
logs.
- Cookies/SDKs: identifiers to keep you signed in, remember preferences,
measure performance, and (if enabled) serve personalized content/ads.
- Payment/ billing data (if you purchase employer plans): handled by our
payment processor; we receive limited billing status/metadata (not full card details).
2) How we use information (legal bases)
- Provide the service (contract): account creation, job posting, job search,
applications, saved items, alerts, employer dashboards.
- Improve & secure JobGlobe (legitimate interests): analytics, A/B tests,
debugging, fraud/spam prevention, monitoring uptime.
- Communicate with you (contract/consent): account notices, application
updates, job alerts and newsletters (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- Comply with law (legal obligation): record-keeping, responding to lawful
requests.
- Personalization (consent/legitimate interests): recommended jobs,
remembered filters, localized content. You can adjust preferences in your account or
browser.
3) When we share data
- With employers when you apply or share your profile for a role. Employers
may contact you using the details you provide.
- With service providers under contracts and confidentiality (hosting/CDN,
email delivery, analytics, security, payment, customer support, logging/monitoring).
- With advertising & analytics partners (see “Cookies & Ezoic”) when those
features are enabled; you can control this via cookie preferences.
- For legal reasons: to comply with law, enforce our terms, protect rights,
safety, and security.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, consistent
with this policy.
4) Cookies, analytics & Ezoic
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions (login, security),
performance/analytics, and—if enabled—personalization and advertising.
- Essential: required to run the site and keep you signed in.
- Performance/analytics: understand usage and improve features.
- Personalization/ads (optional): show relevant jobs or ads; you can opt out
via the cookie banner or browser settings.
Ezoic services. We may use Ezoic, which can set first/third-party cookies, tags,
and similar tech to manage and measure advertising. Data may include IP, device/browser info,
language, usage data, and hashed emails where applicable, to build segments and deliver
interest-based ads across sites and devices. Disabling cookies may affect features; rejecting
cookies will not remove ads but may make them non-personalized.

5) Security & data retention
- Security: we apply industry practices including encryption in transit
(HTTPS), access controls, and monitoring. No method is 100% secure; please use a strong,
unique password and enable available protections.
- Retention: we keep data while your account is active and as needed to
provide services, resolve disputes, comply with laws, and maintain backups. You can request
deletion (see “Your rights”). Job posts and applications may be retained per
legal/accounting needs.
- International transfers: your data may be processed in countries different
from yours. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws.
6) Your rights & choices
- Access & update your profile, resume, and employer pages from your account.
- Download or delete your data by contacting us; we’ll verify your identity
and respond within a reasonable period.
- Marketing choices: unsubscribe from emails via the link in any message or
in account settings.
- Cookie controls: manage preferences via the cookie banner and your browser.
Blocking some cookies may affect functionality.
- Region-specific rights (e.g., GDPR/CCPA): where applicable, you may have
rights to object, restrict, port data, or opt-out of “sale/share” of personal information.

7) Children’s privacy
JobGlobe is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from
children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to remove it.
8) Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our services or laws. We’ll post the new version
here with the “Last updated” date above. Significant changes may be notified via email or in-app
notice.
