Eligibility / Qualification Required:
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Consultant Stroke Physician to join a well-established multidisciplinary clinical team in the United Kingdom. The successful candidate will play a key role in the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based stroke care across hyper-acute, acute, and rehabilitation pathways, while contributing to service development, clinical governance, and teaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver consultant-level care for patients presenting with acute and complex stroke conditions
- Participate in hyper-acute stroke services, inpatient stroke care, and outpatient follow-up clinics
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including neurology, rehabilitation, nursing, and allied health professionals
- Support thrombolysis decision-making and acute stroke management protocols
- Contribute to service development, audit, quality improvement, and clinical governance activities
- Provide supervision, mentoring, and teaching to junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals
- Participate in on-call and rota duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience at a consultant or senior specialist level in stroke medicine or neurology
- Medical degree with completed specialist training in Stroke Medicine, Neurology, Geriatric Medicine, or General Internal Medicine with stroke expertise
- GMC registration (preferred) — candidates eligible or in process of registration may also be considered
- Strong knowledge of UK stroke care pathways, NICE guidelines, and evidence-based practice
- Excellent communication, leadership, and clinical decision-making skills
- Commitment to continuous professional development and patient-centred care.
- Willing to relocate in the United Kingdom.
