We are looking to fill a future vacancy for an Automation Technician (Equipment Owner) to join our team in Brantford, Ontario at our Greater Toronto Fulfillment Centre (GTFC) starting in August 2026. Automation Technicians are hired at entry level and will be given the tools, responsibility, and opportunity to develop throughout their careers.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Job Description: As an Automation Technician, you will: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot automated systems and equipment including but not limited to autonomous robots responsible for case, layer and/or pallet movements Perform preventative maintenance and calibrations on equipment Analyze trends and technical data to gain insights, identify issues proactively Ensure optimal performance and efficiency in fulfilment of customer orders Learn and develop mechanical, electrical, digital & software and robotics skills Build technical skills in others Job Qualifications Qualifications: Minimum of a high school diploma or diploma from a Trade or Technical College in any of these fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, Robotics, Engineering, and Digital/Software Must be able to work shift work (Evenings, Overnight, early mornings) and potentially rotate between evenings, nights, and day shifts Ability to work at heights, climb stairs/ladders/platforms, etc., and climb on and around equipment Ability to work in a team Effective communication and collaboration skills Applied mechanical skills in an industrial environment and experience with electrical, digital/software, and robotics is an asset Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, issue resolution, and root cause analysis Successful completion of a Technical Interview will be required as part of the application process. Physical Requirements: Lift, lower, carry, push & pull objects up to 50 lbs. The ability to meet the requirements of safe operation and personal safety, including wearing PPE and the ability to respond appropriately to various visual and audible alarms and signals Operate a computer and keyboard to input and access data, and phone as well as scanners and electronic interfaces. Meet the requirements of Quality/Good Manufacturing Practices/Good Lab Practices, following applicable gowning/de-gowning when working in the lab.
