Role Overview:
This is a full-time post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a full time palliative paediatric medicine consultant in the Department of Paediatric Oncology. The appointed individual will be expected to provide ongoing clinical care and expertise in the management of paediatric cancer patients on palliation. The appointee will be expected to participate actively in the teaching and training programmes for junior doctors in the department of paediatric oncology and also to liaise closely with physicians in other specialties as well as with other staff within the hospital.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- FCPS / MRCPCH (UK) / The American Board of Paediatrics.
- Additional qualifications (sub-specialty fellowship) will be an advantage.
- A minimum of three years-overseas experience in paediatric palliative care preferably in paediatric oncology patients.
- Full registration with the PMC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
- Good computer skills.
