Job Description:

1. In addition to all task and responsibilities performed by the technicians, be able to perform:
2. Daily heat block QA.
3. Daily maintenance of Serofuge, cell washer, cytotherm and water bath.
4. Daily serology reagent quality control
5. Blood grouping.
6. Rh testing.
7. Cross Matching.
8. Weak D testing.
9. DAT-testing.
10. Red Cell Allo Antibody Screening.
11. Red Cell Allo Antibody Identification.
12. Red Cell Antigen pheno typing.
13. Resolve ABO Discrepancies through.
14. Strict pre warm technique.
15. Increase Serum to cell ratio technique.
16. Saline replacement technique.
17. Antibody Titer.
18. Prepare Alsever’s Solution.
19. Prepare Reagent Cells.
20. Be able to calibrate Cell Washers and  serofuge.
21. Perform workup and reporting of difficult serology cases.
22. Any other task assigned by the Supervisor/Head of Department.
