Eligibility / Qualification Required:

We are currently supporting a confidential executive search for a senior leadership position within a large, asset-intensive organization in the UAE.
This is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the planning, engineering, and delivery of complex, large-scale infrastructure and capital projects across a multi-project environment.
Role Overview
The Executive Director – Infrastructure Projects will lead the end-to-end execution of major projects, ensuring alignment with long-term business objectives, operational efficiency, and delivery excellence.
The role involves managing multiple project streams, overseeing senior teams, and driving performance across engineering, project management, and delivery functions.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the execution of large-scale infrastructure and capital projects across multiple programs
• Oversee engineering coordination, project governance, and delivery frameworks
• Manage project portfolios, including prioritization, resource allocation, and performance tracking
• Establish and implement best practices in project delivery, risk management, and quality assurance
• Engage with key stakeholders including consultants, contractors, and regulatory entities to ensure smooth execution
• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across project functions
• Provide leadership and direction to senior project teams and functional heads

Requirements:

We are looking for senior professionals with:
• Extensive experience in large-scale infrastructure, energy, or complex engineering environments
• Proven track record in managing high-value, multi-project portfolios
• Strong leadership experience overseeing senior teams and cross-functional stakeholders
• Background in engineering-led organizations with asset-heavy operations
• Solid understanding of project governance, contracts (e.g., EPC/FIDIC), and delivery frameworks
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels
Important Considerations
• Arabic speakers are preferred; Emirati national are highly preferred for this opportunity.
• Candidates currently based in the UAE are highly preferred, followed by those in the GCC
• Candidates from outside the region will be considered only if they are currently in a similar role within the same industry and function
