The Technical and AI Lead within Managed Services is a director-level role in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland or Pōneke / Wellington. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction for PwC New Zealand’s Managed Services capability, with a particular focus on scalable technology platforms, AI-enabled delivery, automation, architecture, data, cyber and operational resilience. The role acts as the senior technical authority for Managed Services, partnering with leadership, client teams, delivery teams, risk and enabling functions to shape, mobilise and continuously improve managed services offerings and client solutions. Some travel between Auckland and Wellington expected.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in technology, architecture, A.I., automation, managed services, consulting or complex enterprise delivery environments, including experience operating at senior level.
- Proven ability to define technology strategy and translate it into pragmatic roadmaps, delivery models, controls and operational practices.
- Strong understanding of A.I.-enabled service delivery, automation, analytics, knowledge management, workflow, observability and platform-based operating models.
- Demonstrated experience designing or assuring secure, scalable and resilient technology solutions across cloud, application, integration, data and cyber domains.
- Experience leading technical solution design for managed services, outsourced operations, transformation programmes, application management, managed security or similar recurring service models.
- Strong commercial awareness, including the relationship between solution design, scope, service levels, staffing models, tooling costs and contractual commitments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including architecture narratives, decision papers, governance materials, risk inputs and client communications.
- Experience in pre-sales or business development.
