Indirect Tax ESG (Excise & Energy & Environment) is a team of over 20 experts specializing in excise tax, energy regulations, and environmental regulations. We assist our clients, for example, in the tax-legal setup of energy production from photovoltaic panels. We work to reduce energy consumption costs, support access to support programs (e.g., compensation for the energy-intensive sector or industrial consumer status), and are responsible for implementing new environmental obligations in companies resulting from the latest European regulations, such as CBAM (carbon tax), EUDR (regulations concerning trade in goods contributing to deforestation), or due diligence in the supply chain.
Your future role will involve:
- Analyzing regulations, interpretations, and case law to assess tax and regulatory implications.
- Preparing and supervising drafts of letters, opinions, and correspondence for clients.
- Formulating recommendations and solutions to support business decisions.
- Managing small project teams (1-3 people) and mentoring junior colleagues.
- Maintaining ongoing contact with clients and collaborating with PwC teams in Poland and abroad.
- Continuously developing legal and tax knowledge and business skills.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- You have a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in excise tax, energy, or environmental regulations, and you are proficient in national and European regulations concerning these areas.
- You are fluent in Polish and English (min. B2 level).
- You are able to manage projects and deliver high-quality solutions.
- You enjoy teamwork while also being able to organize your time and support junior colleagues.
- You demonstrate knowledge of new technologies and AI-based tools in daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content preparation).
