As a Senior Associate in the Risk Management and Independence Team, you will assist the Firm to comply with laws, regulations and professional standards relating to Risk Management and Independence.

In this role, you will assist in adhering to essential laws, regulations, and professional standards, applying your keen attention to detail and strong communication skills to engage effectively with local and global teams.

Your day-to-day could include:

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support to PwC people on Risk Management & Independence (RM&I) tools, processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Assist with the testing, rollout, and continuous improvement of global RM&I tools and systems across PwC New Zealand.
  • Review compliance activities and support quality assurance processes to ensure regulatory and internal policy requirements are met.
  • Prepare clear communications, training materials, and presentations to help educate and support staff through compliance processes.
  • Support the wider RM&I team by resolving queries, assisting with independence matters, and maintaining evidence for the firm's Quality Management System.

  • Around 4 years' experience in risk management, independence, compliance, or a related field within professional services or the financial services industry.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and build effective working relationships.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and self-driven approach.
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and web-based systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Strong organisational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate with teams, and meet deadlines.
