About the Team 
 
PwC’s Consulting practice provides business and technology advice to leading organisations to help solve their most complex business challenges, from strategy to execution. 
 
The Financial Services Strategy & Operations team enables organisations in the Financial Services industry (banks, asset managers, insurers, etc) to design and execute strategies to grow, become more productive, modernise their organisation, and position themselves for the future. We support this through a range of services focused on growth, productivity, ways of working, and digital transformation.
 
About the Role 
 
As a Senior Associate, you will play a crucial role within engagement teams by leading a component of a project. Your responsibility will be but not limited to the following 
  • Formulate how problems should be structured and play a key role in driving analysis and activities that underpin solutions for our clients.
  • Translate analytical insights into impactful, practical recommendations tailored to client contexts.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and align transformation initiatives to strategic priorities.
  • Contribute to system-enabled transformations (e.g., ERP, digital finance tools) where relevant.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  • Work with your leaders; you will help manage aspects of an engagement while nurturing and leading junior team members.  
 
About you 
 
You are likely to be a Financial Services professional with the following key attributes: 
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in business, economics, finance, engineering or a related field. MBA or CFA is a plus.
  • 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in Consulting or equivalent Strategy, Transformation, Digitisation, Operations roles is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • High sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes and quality of work 
  • Proven ability to structure ambiguous problems using first principles thinking 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills (both quantitative and qualitative orientations)  
  • Demonstrated ability and propensity for leadership in team settings 
  • Familiar or proficient with core consulting skills concepts, such as structured problem solving and hypothesis-driven approaches 
  • Have a basic understanding of a Financial Services industry (e.g. Banking, Insurance, etc.) 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (For applicants to Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam, candidates should be proficient in both the local and English language)  
  • An ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment  
  • Record of high performance 
  • Creativity and intellectual curiosity  
  • Strong personal presence, combined with compelling and professional presentation and communication skills
