Role Overview:
Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre,Lahore is pleased to invite applications for a one-year fellowship in Head and Neck Surgery. The Fellow will have the opportunity to obtain focused training in Head & Neck Surgery supervised by experienced consultants with a multidisciplinary approach.
Learning Objectives
This fellowship is designed to promote surgeons who want to excel in the field of head and neck surgical oncology and reconstruction. The diverse program will facilitate fellows to have a 360-degree clinical and surgical experience in all aspects of head and neck surgery.
During the fellowship year, fellows will participate in clinical and surgical care of patients with faculty supervision but will also have an independent clinical as well as surgical practice. At the end of the year, fellows will have well-honed skills in diagnosis, treatment, and perioperative management of tumors of the head and neck cancers. Since SKMCH&RC is a dedicated cancer hospital, it receives vast number of patients referred from all over Pakistan and neighboring countries.
Fellows will have access to the state-of-the-art cancer registry for research purposes and He / She will be expected to update the cases in cancer registry on weekly basis. A fellow must publish one research paper as a first author to acquire fellowship certificate at the end of graduation.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Qualification:
- MBBS
- FCPS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery or equivalent or ENT/Otorhinolaryngology & Plastic surgery or equivalent
- Valid PMDC registration
Work Experience:
- 1 year experience post FCPS in head and neck oncology surgery will be preferred.
