  • Own end-to-end delivery for the team’s scope, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and predictable execution across development and deployment processes.
  • Drive strong cross-organizational alignment with SRE, Cloud Platform, and partner engineering teams to resolve dependencies, improve workflows, and ensure successful releases.
  • Influence system design and technical direction, ensuring solutions meet standards for scalability, resiliency, and security.
  • Establish and evolve CI/CD practices, improving pipeline reliability, release efficiency, and automation across environments.
  • Ensure operational excellence, including production readiness, system health, incident response, and root cause remediation.
  • Participate in and lead on-call escalation as required, serving as a senior escalation point for critical production issues and ensuring timely resolution and follow-through.
  • Lead complex and high-visibility initiatives, managing risk, coordinating across teams, and delivering on commitments.
  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices, including automation, observability, and deployment reliability.
  • Partner with product and platform stakeholders to align priorities, balance trade-offs, and deliver business outcomes.

  • Develop and grow engineers, strengthening technical capabilities, ownership mindset, and overall team effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and adopt tools and technologies that improve engineering efficiency and system reliability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Software Engineering Manager, or as a Sr. Staff Engineer with a track record of leading cross-team technical initiatives and owning large-scale, production-critical systems.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and operating distributed systems at scale.
  • Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release processes, including tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI/CD.
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code and configuration management (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Demonstrated ability to drive outcomes across team boundaries and influence without direct authority.
  • Strong experience with production operations, incident management, and system reliability improvements.
  • Solid technical foundation in containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), networking, and security practices.
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and lead technically, including candidates transitioning from senior IC roles.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
