Create magical memories as hearts beat to the rhythm of Mexican music, art and culture – embraced by the warmth of our Four Seasons “familia.” Be You The Residential Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Finance in maintaining the Residential general ledger and balance sheet reconciliations.  Additionally, the Residential Accounting Manager is responsible for supervising other areas within the Finance Department under the direction of the Assistant Director of Finance, including payroll, accounts payable, and general cashiering in accordance with all related local and corporate policies and procedures.   Knowledge and Skills  Minimum of 1 year of experience  Luxury hospitality experience (Preferred).  College education or equivalent experience.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills to prepare and deliver reports, effective presentations and to facilitate meetings  Apply an ethical approach to influence the outcome of situations  Require a working technical knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and all corporate policies and procedures.  Require knowledge of and the ability to operate computer equipment and excellent Excel and Computer Skills.  Sun, iScala and Opera Systems knowledge would be ideal and greatly valued.  Strategic, analytical and have solid business acumen.  Ability to read, write and speak English.  Master Your Craft Understand and possess a working knowledge of the Accounting & Finance Manual  Good understanding of Month-End Process, including but not limited to preparation of financial statements, accruals and journal entries, maintain reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts in established corporate formats and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.  Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in preparation of all budgets and forecasts.  Understand the current Edition of USALI.  Prepare and coordinate the monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts and all bank reconciliations, ensuring all outstanding reconciling items are investigated and resolved satisfactorily.  Perform all daily, monthly, and other periodic accounting and financial reporting in an accurate and timely nature.  Participate in the physical inventory counts and the subsequent accuracy of count, price, and valuation.  Safeguard the residential cash assets through monthly bank reconciliations, cash counts of all issued Banks, including general cashier, and reporting any discrepancies to the Assistant DOF.  Assist with month end adjustment journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.  Prepare periodic vacation and medical deduction audits for residential components.  Prepare required backup or work papers in order to provide analysis and control over residential balance sheet and P&L accounts and to serve the purpose of internal and external audits.  Have a working knowledge of all areas in Finance to ensure that coverage can be provided for employees on vacation or leave.  Be familiar with the program of records control, security, retention and disposal in accordance with hotel policy and procedures.  Perform any additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Assistant Director of Finance.  Ensure that HOA fees are properly recorded, and an accurate and timely Business Report is generated.  Have the ability to direct the efforts, quality and timeliness of all aspects of the payroll, general ledger, accounts payable and general cashiering.  Meet with Residential Oversight Committee to review and explain monthly expenses and annual Budgeting review with both Corporate & Owners.   Assist the Assistant Director of Finance in Residential Forecasting/Budgeting and assist the Department Heads in producing their annual labor budgets.  What We Offer and What You Can Expect  You will become part of a supportive team with a genuine family spirit, where your talent will be valued and recognized.  Highly competitive salaries, with an attractive annual incentive plan for management and Department Head positions.  Transportation service from San Lucas and San José del Cabo to the resort.  Uniform laundry service, ensuring comfort and a professional appearance.  Training programs and in-house workshops to support your professional development.  A dynamic, diverse, and challenging work environment with close interaction with the leadership team.  Recognition programs that celebrate your achievements, including awards for years of service, Employee of the Month, and Employee of the Year.  About Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts:  Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts opened its first hotel in 1961, and its history has been one of continuous innovation, remarkable growth, and an unwavering commitment to the highest standards.
