Key Responsibilities
Position: Lab Engineer
Department of Statistics and Data Analytical Sciences (SDAS)
Eligibility Criteria (Lab Engineer)
- BS (Hons.)/MSC (equivalent to 16 years of education) in Statistics, Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Information Technology, or a closely related field from an HEC-recognized university.
- The highest degree must be duly attested by HEC. Candidates possessing foreign qualifications must provide an HEC equivalence certificate.
- Preference will be given to candidates with relevant laboratory management, technical support, or industry experience.
Additional Requirements
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and maintaining software and computing resources used in Statistics, Data Science, and Analytics laboratories.
- Hands-on experience with analytical and programming tools, including Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Stata, SPSS, SAS, Jupyter Notebook, and cloud-based platforms.
- Ability to provide technical support during laboratory sessions and assist faculty and students in the execution of practical coursework, projects, and research activities.
- Knowledge of database management systems, networking fundamentals, and computer hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience in managing computer laboratories, software licensing, data security, backups, and system maintenance.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Cloud Computing, GIS, and related technologies will be considered an added advantage.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), online teaching platforms, and virtual lab environments will be preferred.
