Eligibility / Qualification Required:

Applicants should have a PhD in Sociology, Criminology, Socio-Legal Studies and will teach primarily in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Program and provide support for the UNB-Holland College Pathway Program.
The position is for an individual with demonstrated excellence in teaching as well as research interests in areas related to foundational criminology and sociology topics such as criminological theory, white-collar and corporate crime, the Canadian criminal justice system, prisons and punishment, gender and justice, crime and media, gender-based violence, political violence or extremism, or homicide and femicide.
The department offers both undergraduate and graduate (MA and PhD) programs. Department members engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision.
Short-listed candidates will be required to provide satisfactory proof of credentials including appropriately certified translations of credentials into English, as applicable.
Preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

The salary range and fringe benefits for this position is defined in the Association of University of New Brunswick Teachers (AUNBT) 2022 – 2025 Collective Agreement sections 35 and 36B.
