Eligibility / Qualification Required:

  • Applicants should have a PhD in Sociology, Criminology, Socio-Legal Studies and will teach primarily in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Program and provide support for the UNB-Holland College Pathway Program.
  • The position is for an individual with demonstrated excellence in teaching as well as research interests in areas related to foundational criminology and sociology topics such as criminological theory, white-collar and corporate crime, the Canadian criminal justice system, prisons and punishment, gender and justice, crime and media, gender-based violence, political violence or extremism, or homicide and femicide.
  • The department offers both undergraduate and graduate (MA and PhD) programs. Department members engage in undergraduate and graduate teaching and supervision.
  • Short-listed candidates will be required to provide satisfactory proof of credentials including appropriately certified translations of credentials into English, as applicable.
  • Preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
