Chef de Partie (BBQ) â Chinese Kitchen We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie (BBQ) to join our Chinese Kitchen team. The successful candidate will specialize in Chinese BBQ preparation and cooking techniques, ensuring high-quality dishes, consistency, and efficient kitchen operations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining food safety and hygiene standards. What You Will Do: Prepare and cook Chinese BBQ dishes according to established recipes and standards. Handle daily mise en place and ensure all ingredients are prepared and stocked adequately. Operate and maintain BBQ roasting equipment safely and efficiently. Monitor food quality, taste, presentation, and portion consistency. Ensure proper marination, roasting, and carving techniques are followed. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the BBQ section and kitchen area. Assist in inventory control, stock rotation, and minimizing food wastage. Support Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations. Train and guide junior kitchen staff when required. Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety regulations. Work collaboratively with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth service operations. What You Bring: Minimum 2â3 years of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role in a Chinese kitchen specializing in BBQ/roast meats. Strong knowledge of Chinese BBQ preparation techniques and roasting methods. Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices. Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment. Good teamwork and communication skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods. Culinary certification or relevant professional training is an advantage. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required by hotel operations. Must be able to speak, read, and write Bahasa Malaysia and basic English. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
