Role Overview:
Fellowship in Nuclear Medicine (PET CT-Lahore)(BOLD)
Applications are invited for a one-year PET/CT Fellowship position in the department of Nuclear medicine at SKMCH&RC Lahore. The fellowship offers training in PET/CT and related clinical research.
We have 3 state of the art PET CT facilities, 2 in the SKM main department in Lahore and 1 at Peshawar. All reporting is done in Lahore with state of the art dedicated workstations and excellent remote image link. The department is backed by an onsite Cyclotron and provision for F18 and Ga68 radiotracers.
The PET services at SKMCH&RC Lahore are undergoing expansion with commissioning of a 4th scanner in SKMCH Karachi in near future.
The department of Nuclear medicine is equipped with two SPECT/CT cameras, 1 dual-head gamma camera and two DXA scanners. The hospital offers first-class facilities conducive for continued medical education, research and quality improvement.
Job Description:
- The selected candidate will participate in structured rotations within the Nuclear Medicine department with a focus on PET CT.
- (S)/he will be expected to become familiar with production of PET radiopharmaceuticals, PET CT acquisition and clinical applications.
- The appointee will actively participate in the multidisciplinary tumour boards covering a wide range of adult and pediatric oncological cases.
- The successful candidate must demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence, CME and research.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- MBBS
- FCPS (Nuclear Medicine)
- Updated and valid PMDC / PMC registration.
- Minimum 4 years of approved Nuclear Medicine experience.
- Successful completion of approved training Programme.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Possess good leadership qualities and should be able to work within a team milieu.
- Able to have dynamic decision-making capabilities and manage personnel.
