The FCU Technology team at PwC Polska includes over 100 IT specialists. The financial services industry operates in a challenging environment due to global economic pressures, increasing regulatory and capital requirements, and significant operational and technological changes. As FCU Technology, we provide innovative technological solutions, data analytics and consulting services for global PwC clients, responding to key challenges in the area of Anti Financial Crime (Anti Money Laundering, Combating Terrorism Financing, Fraud Risk Management, FATCA and implementation of financial sanctions, etc.). We are looking for a Data Manager to join our FCU Technology team.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- 10+ years' experience in data/business analytics, data engineering or data modeling project delivery (preferably for Financial Services sector)
- 5+ years of experience in scaling and managing team of 6+ persons
- Demonstrated sales acumen with experience in developing data-driven strategies to drive business growth (min.2 years)
- Advanced negotiation skills for managing project timelines and deliverables both internally and externally
- Proven experience in balancing personal project responsibilities, managing and leading a team often working on separate projects, and actively contribute to business development of the wider Technology team
- Ability to identify and address client needs, develop and maintain meaningful client relationships
- Understanding of statistical analytics methods and the ability to apply these in the appropriate circumstances
- Experience in data querying technologies (e.g. SQL) and programming languages for process automations (e.g. Python, VBA)
- Knowledge of data visualization/dashboarding technologies (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
- Analytical and results-oriented mindset
- Proficiency in agile methodologies
- University degree (preferred in Statistics, Econometrics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Big Data)
- Excellent written & spoken English with great communication skills
- Experience in data governance, data stewardship and data management
- Have demonstrated knowledge of new technologies and AI‑powered tools in your daily work (e.g., task automation, information analysis, content creation)
Nice to have:
- Fluency in German, Dutch or French would be an advantage.
