Key Responsibilities:
To promote internationalisation at home and abroad, serve as the principal point of contact for international offices abroad, faculty, organizations and partners, and provide the strategic direction and operational support required to build strong and sustainable relationships with the University's partner institutions.
a. Manage and monitor all NUST International Office functions related to strategies and partnerships.
b. Formulate strategies and identify avenues to enhance internationalisation at home and abroad.
c. Guide the International Office team in developing positive and effective working relationships with partner institutions and organisations.
d. Formulate and seek approval of SOPs/policies to facilitate and promote international activities.
e. Manage all inbound internationalization activities for visitors, prospective partners, professors, and staff.
f. Ensure queries from international students, faculty and partners are dealt with efficiently and appropriately.
g. Coordinate meetings with university representatives and/or partners; attend national and international meetings/events and deliver presentations on behalf of NIO.
h. Work in close consultation with Marketing & Communications Dte, Registrar Office and Acad Dte to build strong and positive relationships with partners.
i. Work collaboratively with faculty colleagues to encourage faculty-to-faculty collaborations.
j. Manage and coordinate activities with all NUST institutional focal persons and champions; act as first point of contact for NIO cases/queries.
k. Coordinate with GoP and relevant organisations, including British Council, USEFP and others, to pursue collaboration opportunities.
l. Perform any other duty assigned by the Director QA & NIO.

Knowledge/ Skills/ AbilitiesEssential Candidate must have strong strategic planning, administrative and organisational skills; excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills; and the ability to build and sustain relationships with national and international stakeholders. The candidate should be able to work independently, supervise staff, manage deadlines, draft policies/SOPs, and represent NUST confidently in local and international forums.
DesirableStrong understanding of higher education internationalization, strategic partnerships, academic collaborations, and exchange programmes. Good knowledge of policy formulation, SOP development, and coordination of international agreements. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, networking, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively across directorates, manage multiple tasks, and represent NUST effectively at national and international forums.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Qualification:Essential Qualifications
MS (International Relations, Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Management, Behavioral Sciences, Marketing or equivalent)
Desirable Qualifications
Foreign qualification and/or relevant professional certification will be preferred.
Experience:
Essential Experience
12 years' relevant experience in internationalisation, partnerships, academic administration, external engagement, protocol or higher education management.
Desirable Experience
Experience in a university international office, partnership development, mobility, policy drafting and stakeholder coordination will be preferred.

- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
