Job Description:
- The program will provide novice nurse an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge to clinical setting by:
- Encouraging them to function as a member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Enable to provide holistic nursing care (head - toe) to the all patients who are unable to care by themselves during hospital stay and educate to patient/family about home care under the supervision of preceptor/Sr. RN/LPN/Midwife till the achievement of his/her competency.
- Enhancing communication and interpersonal relationship
- Strengthening assessment skill as per IHHN nursing assessment template & identification of patient’s nursing problems, formulate and implement nursing care plan.
- Making smooth transition from advanced beginner to future role as a competent nurse in the clinical environment.
- Developing effective decision -making and critical thinking skills related clinical judgement and performance.
- Providing clinical nursing leadership at the point of care
- Strengthening a commitment to nursing as a professional career choice.
- Linking research-based evidence to practice outcomes and then incorporating these principles into patient care.
- Impacting on growth and empowerment of new graduates.
- To bridge the gap between theory and practice to make them independent practitioner.
- To support staff retention strategy and reduce turnover.
- Assist the nurse intern to increase their ability in analytical assessment of situation need effective decision making and problem solving.
- Assist to further development of written and verbal communication skills in the field of human relations with patients, families and healthcare professionals and community at large.
- Initiate change to improve nursing in assigned area and application of advance technology to improve quality care.
- Participate in planned teaching activities such as workshops, seminars, conferences and accreditation etc.
