Role: Assistant Manager Maintenance | Department: Maintenance & Development | City: Raiwind-Lahore | Place of Work: Raiwind | Employment Type: Full Time

Key Responsibilities:

Job Purpose

To assist in managing maintenance operations of plant machinery, utilities, and facilities to ensure smooth production, minimal downtime, safety compliance, and cost-effective maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance Operations

  • Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
  • Ensure maximum equipment uptime and minimum production losses.
  • Coordinate with production teams for planned shutdowns and urgent breakdowns.

Machinery & Utilities

  • Supervise maintenance of production machinery and plant utilities (air compressors, boilers, chillers, generators, HVAC, etc.).
  • Support installation, commissioning, modification, and overhauling of machines.

Breakdown Management

  • Lead troubleshooting activities and ensure quick restoration of equipment.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain breakdown records and improvement plans.

Preventive Maintenance

· Strong command over Preventive Maintenance (PM)planning, scheduling, and execution to ensure maximum equipment reliability and minimum downtime.

· Proven ability to develop, implement, and monitor PM checklists, SOPs, and maintenance calendarsin a manufacturing environment.

· Skilled in analyzing breakdown trends and improving PM effectiveness through root cause analysis.

· Proficient in computer applications, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for maintenance reporting, data analysis, and documentation.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise maintenance staff including technicians, electricians, and fitters.
  • Allocate manpower and monitor task execution.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback.

Spare Parts & Inventory

  • Identify critical spares and ensure minimum stock levels.
  • Prepare purchase requisitions and coordinate with procurement.
  • Control maintenance costs and reduce wastage.

Safety, Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with HSE, safety, and statutory regulations.
  • Enforce LOTO procedures, PPE usage, and safe work practices.
  • Support internal and external audits.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance reports.
  • Maintain equipment history, maintenance logs, and SOPs.
  • Assist in maintenance budgeting and cost control.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: BSc Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience:
  • 5–8 years in maintenance within a manufacturing environment

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing equipment
  • Preventive and breakdown maintenance expertise
  • Leadership and team management
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of safety standards and compliance
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, CMMS preferred)
