Assistant Director Procurement at National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST).

Key Responsibilities:
To ensure transparent and efficient procurement processes, from bidding to contract execution and delivery, while maintaining quality standards and effective inventory management.
- Preparation of bidding documents in accordance with PPRA Rules.
- Upload the documents on EPADS and address all queries due to system-generated responses or those entered by bidders.
- Familiarity with reference pricing and market dynamics.
- Conduct bid opening process on EPADS.
- Carry out bid evaluations and prepare comparative statements.
- Be familiar with grievance redressal mechanisms, their legal implications, and response thereto.
- Preparation of LoIs, POs, and Contract agreements in respect of each procurement.
- Monitor and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensuring quality of goods/ services.
- Distribution of procured goods to the end users and maintenance of Inventory.
- Conduct public auctions.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Qualification:Essential Qualifications
Bechalor (Supply Chain Management, Logistics and Business Administration) or related Discipline from an HEC recognized University.
Desirable Qualifications
MBA (Supply Chain Managment) from HEC recognized Univeristy.
Experience:
Essential Experience
Minimum 5 – 7 Years Public Procurement experience. Individual having experience of defence Procurment will be given preference.
Retired Armed Forces Personnel (Maj or equivalent from the core of Ordnance / ASC).
General Conditions:

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:
- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations.
