We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Architect to support the delivery of cutting-edge data and analytics platforms. This pivotal role is hands-on and delivery-focused, demanding strong technical capability across Linux, container platforms, and cloud data services. The successful candidate will also possess the ability to work effectively with both client and internal delivery teams.
You will contribute significantly to the design, build, deployment, and operational readiness of environments across leading cloud providers like Azure and AWS, while continuously deepening your infrastructure and platform engineering expertise. Responsibilities include supporting the design and implementation of infrastructure deployments, covering compute, storage, networking, and data services. You will also be building, configuring, and operating Kubernetes-based platforms, and supporting data processing and analytics workloads, primarily using Azure Databricks and AWS EMR.
Further, this role involves configuring and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines to enable reliable and repeatable deployments, performing Linux administration and troubleshooting (including scripting and automation with Bash), and supporting PostgreSQL deployments (setup, configuration, operational support, and basic performance tuning). You will assist with incident resolution, recovery activities, and root-cause analysis to ensure platform stability and resilience, review technical designs and deployment approaches for scalability, security, and resilience, and work closely with data engineers and application teams to deliver integrated solutions. This position also offers strong exposure to cloud, data, and resilience domains, alongside clear development pathways within PwC’s broader Technology, Data, and Risk ecosystem, supporting knowledge transfer and contributing to internal capability development.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Hands-on experience working with Linux-based platforms and distributed systems.
- Practical experience with Kubernetes, including deployment and operational support.
- Experience supporting data platforms such as Azure Databricks and/or AWS EMR.
- Experience with CI/CD tooling, ideally Azure Pipelines.
- Working knowledge of PostgreSQL in a delivery or operations context.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) supporting data-intensive workloads.
- Understanding of availability, recovery, and operational resilience concepts.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working in a consulting or client-facing delivery environment.
- Prior experience supporting large-scale analytics platforms.
- Strong hands-on technical delivery capability with increasing independence.
- Ability to own defined workstreams and deliver high-quality outputs.
- Proactive identification of issues, risks, and dependencies.
