Associate Professor at National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST).

Institute: School of Chemical & Materials Engineering
Age Limit: 35 - 45 years
Salary: 300,000
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Materials Engineering and related areas in line with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices; develop course materials and assess student performance.
2. Establish and lead a strong research program in advanced materials (preferably energy storage), secure external funding, and publish in high-impact peer-reviewed journals.
3. Supervise MS and PhD students, ensuring high-quality research output.
4. Contribute to curriculum design, revision, and accreditation processes (PEC), ensuring alignment with international standards.
5. Develop collaborations with industry and research organizations to promote applied research and consultancy.
6. Participate in departmental and university committees, and contribute to academic governance and quality assurance processes.
7. Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs; contribute to outreach activities to promote the discipline.
Required Skills:
Advanced Materials for Energy Storage.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Qualification:
1. PhD degree in Materials Engineering/Science, Metallurgy, Advanced Materials or any other relevant field, from an HEC-recognized university or an internationally reputable institution.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy/Materials Engineering duly recognized and accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC).
3. Strong academic background with demonstrated expertise in advanced materials for energy storage.
Experience:
1. Minimum 6-years post-PhD teaching and research experience as prescribed by HEC for the rank of Associate Professor.
2. Proven record of independent research, including publications in impact-factor journals and supervision of post-graduate students.
3. Proven record of experience in securing research funding, establishing research laboratory and contributing to curriculum development.
4. Proven teaching experience at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with ability to deliver courses effectively in line with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices.

Candidates may be considered ineligible for the post due to any of the following reasons:- 3rd Div in academic career / weak academic profile.
- NUST employees with less than one year of service with NUST and / or absence of NOC from Head of Institution.
- In process of pursuing a required degree.
- Medically unfit.
- Only selected candidates will be contacted and issued offer letter.
- Candidates serving in Govt departments, Armed forces may apply through their respective parent department / organizations. Late / incomplete applications will be ignored. Only short-listed candidates will be considered / called for test / interview and no TA / DA will be admissible.
