A career in our Indirect Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. As an
Associate Indirect Tax at PwC, you will advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to
business analysis, managing
indirect taxes (VAT/GST),
dispute resolution, and global
enterprise tax solutions. Our team helps clients optimise
cash flow and reduce
tax risk by managing challenges related to
indirect taxes. You’ll support clients with all aspects of
indirect taxation related to global, regional and domestic projects, as well as comprehensive
restructuring and
reporting value added tax projects.
Key responsibilities for this
Associate Indirect Tax position include providing expert advice on
indirect tax issues (including
VAT,
SST,
customs duties), conducting thorough
tax compliance and
indirect tax return preparations, identifying and assessing
indirect tax risks and opportunities, developing strategies to mitigate
tax risks and capitalize on savings, supervising day-to-day administration of a client portfolio, and carrying out
SST research and preparation of
SST reports/advices.

Minimum Requirements:
- A recognised degree in Economics, Finance or related subjects or professional accounting qualification.
- At least 1-2 years’ track record of SST related working experience.
- Working experience in SST implementation work would be an added advantage.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and Malay languages.
- Well organized, able to multitask and prioritise assignments.
