Role Overview:
This is a full-time post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role in pulmonary and critical care medicine. The post is based at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Lahore. The individual will be expected to provide pulmonary and critical care expertise in the day to day management of sick cancer patients seen at the hospital.
The selected individual will work within multi-disciplinary teams and will also be responsible for teaching and training residents in internal medicine as well as specialty fellows in pulmonary medicine. There is also a commitment to teaching of respiratory therapists. The appointee will be expected to liaise closely with surgeons and physicians in other specialties and allied staff within the Hospital.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- American board in internal medicine with post-residency fellowship in pulmonology or critical care
- MRCP (UK) with a minimum of three years post-membership experience in respiratory medicine and intensive care medicine.
- Ability to work under pressure, interact and coordinate with diverse groups of people
- Good computer and communication skills
- Willing and able to take on increasing responsibility with time.
- Full registration with the PMDC
