Front Desk Manager Full time Position : Department Head Four Seasons Hotel Seoul The Four Seasons Hotel Seoul is looking for Front Desk Manager, who shares a passion for excellence and who infuse enthusiasm into everything they do. We are looking for a candidate that is dedicated to creating personalized experiences and lasting memories for our guests. This position reports to the Front Office Manager. Desired Skills Must have proven organizational abilities in maintenance of traces, files, records, executive calendar, directing calls, follow through on e-mails and other communications Good Reservations skills with working knowledge in Opera Good communications and telephone skills, independent correspondence including emails, along with experience composing different types of documents General PC proficiency with basic skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Familiar with courier services, receiving and inventory control of printing & stationery as well as guest supplies for the front office Working knowledge in both written and spoken Korean and English Eligibility Provides basic trouble-shooting support for in-room services such as Internet, TV, games, and Web service. Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence of or due to heavy volume in the areas of the Concierge, Bell Staff, Door Staff, Valet Parking, Business Center, Communications, Reservations and lobby coverage. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Key Functions Manages the staff at the Front Desk. Interviews, trains and schedules the staff. Conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed. Reviews and monitors schedules of staff in other department of responsibility. Monitors their activities to assure that standards are being met, staff is being supported and guest needs are being met. Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups. Reviews and monitors schedules of staff in other department of responsibility. Monitors their activities to assure that standards are being met, staff is being supported and guest needs are being met. Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone. Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements. Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved. Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups. Utilizes a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests. Works harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Accepts reservations, changes and cancellations in the absence of Reservations Department Staff. Can answer guest calls and direct them appropriately in the absence of a Core Agent. Visa Requirements Must already possess valid work authorization in South Korea.
