Eligibility / Qualification Required:
1. Provide strategic leadership and direction for the technical department, aligning its goals with the overall company objectives.
2. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from initial design and planning to execution, commissioning, and handover, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
3. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
4. Review and approve technical designs, calculations, and drawings to ensure they meet all relevant codes, standards, and client specifications.
5. Identify and mitigate technical risks, resolving complex engineering challenges that arise during project execution.
6. Collaborate with the commercial, procurement, and project management teams to provide technical support and ensure seamless project delivery.
7. Drive the adoption of new technologies and best practices to enhance efficiency and maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering).
2. Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in a technical leadership role, with a proven track record in the construction or engineering industry.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is highly desirable.
4. In-depth knowledge of international engineering standards (e.g., Eurocodes, ACI, AISC, ASME) and building codes.
5. Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis, design software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, STAAD.Pro), and BIM (Building Information Modeling).
