Lead AV Production Specialist

Job Summary:

The Lead AV Production Specialist is responsible for the technical execution and production of live, hybrid, and streamed events for UKG. This role focuses on professional AV production including audio mixing, camera operation, live switching, microphone management, and hybrid event delivery using collaboration platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
This individual will lead the technical production of corporate events, town halls, webinars, and hybrid meetings, ensuring broadcast-quality audio and video experiences for both in-room and remote audiences.
The Lead AV Production Specialist serves as the technical production lead, working closely with event organizers, executives, and third-party vendors to deliver high-quality event experiences.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Live Event Production

  • Lead the technical execution of live, hybrid, and streamed corporate events
  • Operate audio mixing consoles (Yamaha, Allen & Heath, Rodecaster, etc.)
  • Configure and manage professional microphone systems, including Shure wireless handheld and lavalier microphones
  • Set up and operate broadcast and PTZ cameras for live production
  • Operate or coordinate video switching systems for multi-camera productions
  • Ensure proper audio gain structure, microphone placement, and audio quality
  • Manage live streaming workflows for hybrid audiences
  • Troubleshoot real-time production issues during live events

Hybrid Event Delivery

  • Produce hybrid meetings and broadcasts using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and webinar platforms
  • Manage speaker rehearsals, technical run-throughs, and show flow
  • Support speaker audio, camera framing, and presentation transitions
  • Monitor live broadcasts to ensure stable streaming and recording quality

Event Planning & Execution

  • Partner with event organizers to determine production requirements
  • Design and deploy AV production setups for events
  • Create technical run-of-show documentation
  • Coordinate with third-party AV vendors for large productions
  • Provide technical leadership during live events

Technical Leadership

  • Train and mentor AV technicians on live production workflows
  • Establish best practices for hybrid event production
  • Support continuous improvement of AV production processes
  • Act as the technical escalation point during events

Post-Event Production

  • Manage event recordings and ensure broadcast quality deliverables
  • Archive and distribute event recordings
  • Provide post-event production feedback and reporting

Required Qualifications:

  • 5–7 years of live AV production experience
  • Experience supporting corporate events, broadcasts, or live productions
  • Strong hands-on experience operating audio mixing consoles
  • Experience with professional microphone systems (Shure wireless, lavaliers, handheld)
  • Experience setting up and operating event cameras
  • Experience producing live streamed or hybrid events
  • Strong working knowledge of Zoom, Teams, and webinar platforms
  • Ability to troubleshoot live production issues under pressure
  • Experience coordinating with event teams and production vendors

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting large corporate town halls or executive broadcasts
  • Experience operating video switchers (ATEM, Roland, TriCaster, etc.)
  • Knowledge of lighting for live events
  • Experience with live streaming platforms
  • Experience producing multi-camera hybrid events

Education/Certification/License:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • AVIXA CTS Certification

Travel Requirement:

       Travel (25%)
