Fresh BScN or Diploma in General Nursing with 1-4 years experience
Job Description:
- The Recovery Staff Nurse is responsible for the smooth management of recovery patients (pre and post), and all related daily operations.
- Receive patients with consent forms.
- Ensure consent forms have the correct patient information and have been signed by the concerned authority.
- Ensure patients are shifted to pre-operative recovery properly, monitors are attached and pre-operative recovery management is fulfilled.
- Assist in post procedure recovery, after patients are received from the OR with specimens.
- Perform cannulation in recovery room, attaching fluid as required.
- Monitor and verify patient’s dietary status and NPO times.
- Shift patients to OR, following all protocols and ensure proper handover to Technicians / Senior Technicians.
- Update patient’s history and details on the HMIS.
- Shift patients from recovery to wards, following all protocols and ensure proper handover to ward staff.
- Perform all tasks assigned by the supervisor / Head of Department.
