This is a high-impact, challenging role dedicated to co-engineering and maintaining novel, high-throughput manufacturing lines that must also deliver highly custom products—a demanding technical balancing act. You will have massive influence. As an early team member, you will define and execute how we build out our factories, architect our proprietary automation, and establish systems to support aggressive growth targets. This is a hard job that requires excellence at the intersection of shop-floor operations and cutting-edge tech. Our complex robotic production lines feature a mix of traditional automation and processes that have never been created before—you will be the subject matter expert on these machines.You will be thrown into a high-growth, rapid-change environment where you will learn quickly, working alongside a team of smart, driven individuals. Your primary mission is guaranteeing the reliability and quality required for a 24/7 production schedule by defining best practices, developing robust mitigation plans, and setting up night/weekend shifts to operate near-autonomously.What You'll DoParticipate in design reviews for automated equipment developmentLead all factory integration activities required to receive new, automated equipment. Support all new equipment testing and qualification.Become an equipment owner and expert. Responsible for sustaining equipment performance and continuous improvementMonitor equipment health and use data to identify root cause and corrective actions (RCCA)Lead systematic, cross-functional efforts to sustain high Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE)Evaluate processing conditions and resultant material properties and troubleshoot as necessary utilizing SPC techniquesAssume full responsibility for managing process conditions to meet Process Control Document requirements and mechanical and physical propertiesImplementation and operation of mechanical and electromechanical systemsActively pursue and direct process improvements to improve performance, cost, etcSolve problems using cross-functional teams with tools such as DMAIC and Design of Experiments (DOE)Develop and implement processing conditions for new equipment and new materialsDevelop programs that assist manufacturing in consistent continuous improvement effortManage qualification efforts required for new equipment, processes, and materialsProvide training as necessary to operations personnelProvide timely disposition of nonconforming product and support root cause and corrective action activitiesMonitor and regularly report out on line yield and efficiency achievementsInvestigate quality non-conformances, recommend and/or help implement corrective actionsParticipate in cross-functional teams to complete safety, quality or continuous improvement action items for assigned process area(s)Interface with customers and support as neededEnsure compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security policiesWhat We're Looking ForBachelor's Degree – Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, or Materials Engineering from a four-year universityMinimum of six years of experience as a Manufacturing or Process Engineer, or similar roleEquipment ownership from enablement through long-term sustainabilityProven ability to evaluate, develop and manage process parameters in the manufacture of productsDemonstrated ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsDemonstrated ability to interpret extensive abstract and concrete variablesExcellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organizationCurrent computer literacy including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointExperience in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma continuous improvement programsExperience with SPC and other statistical techniquesReq ID: J-800For full-time positions, Dandy offers a wide range of best-in-class, comprehensive, and inclusive benefits tailored to each country where we operate.
