Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end delivery of backend features—from requirements clarification and design through development, testing, and deployment—ensuring high-quality and timely outcomes.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure web applications and APIs using Python and Django.
- Contribute to backend architecture and design decisions, including data modeling, service structure, and performance optimization.
- Build and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices, ensuring reliability and maintainability.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product stakeholders, and solution architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Ensure code quality and engineering best practices through code reviews, automated testing, and documentation.
- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security across environments.
- Support production deployments, monitoring, and issue resolution, ensuring system stability.
- Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical direction within modules or workstreams.

AI & Advanced Capabilities
- Contribute to the integration of AI/ML-driven features (e.g., recommendation systems, document processing, conversational interfaces) into backend services.
- Work with AI/ML models or APIs (e.g., LLMs, NLP services) and integrate them into scalable backend systems.
- Support data pipelines and preprocessing workflows required for AI-enabled use cases.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 1+ years of backend development experience, with demonstrated ownership of feature delivery.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Django (or similar frameworks).
- Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and backend services.
- Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and data modeling.
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
- Strong understanding of software design principles, scalability, and performance optimization.
- Proven ability to work in agile, fast-paced delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Django REST Framework (DRF) or similar API frameworks.
- Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures or messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
