Role: Assistant Manager Scrap Store | Department: Raw Material Store | City: Lahore | Place of Work: Lahore | Employment Type: Full Time

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

Job Purpose:
To assist in managing scrap store operations, ensuring proper handling, recording, storage, and disposal of scrap materials while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
Yard Operations Management

• Supervise day-to-day scrap yard operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch
• Ensure zone/Business-wise segregation of scrap as per approved classification standards
• Verify that all scrap materials are properly tagged, identified, and traceable for audit purposes

 Inventory Control

• Maintain and update the Scrap Yard Register, including inventory, receipts, and disposals/transfers
• Monitor inventory accuracy and investigate discrepancies exceeding 2%, reporting to CFO and Internal Audit
• Lead monthly physical stock counts in coordination with the Internal Audit team

External Disposal Management

• Prepare scrap materials for timely and efficient dispatch
• Supervise loading operations to ensure only authorized scrap is dispatched
• Coordinate with weighbridge personnel for accurate weight measurement
• Ensure complete gate pass documentation prior to vehicle exit

Team Supervision

• Supervise yard supervisors and operational staff
• Conduct on-the-job training on scrap handling, segregation, and compliance procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and HSE standards

 Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and submit daily scrap reports to Senior Manager – Inventory
• Submit monthly scrap summaries to CFO
• Coordinate with Internal Audit for both scheduled and surprise audits
• Ensure proper documentation, record keeping, and compliance as per company policies

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s  or Master degree (Supply Chain / Commerce / Engineering or relevant field)

Experience:

• 4–6 years of experience in store/warehouse operations in manufacturing
• Experience in scrap handling or inventory control preferred

Skills & Competencies:

• Knowledge of inventory management systems (ERP/SAP)
• Basic understanding of scrap valuation and disposal
• Strong record-keeping and reporting skills
• Good coordination and communication skills
• Problem-solving and analytical mindset
• Knowledge of HSE practices
• Strong attention to detail and control
