Role Overview:
The post is full-time, based primarily at the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Lahore, Pakistan.
This is a full time post for a highly motivated and committed individual to undertake a key role as a consultant paediatric surgeon, dealing primarily with children with cancer. The appointee is expected to provide paediatric surgical expertise in the management of cancer patients and will be expected to collaborate with other surgeons, anesthetists, oncologists and others in the multi-disciplinary care of paediatric oncology patients. The post-holder will be expected to work with and support the established multidisciplinary site specific teams, as appropriate, and will also be expected to take part in a full general surgical training programme, as well as in training postgraduate fellows in surgical oncology.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- CCST / FRCS Paediatric Surgery / American boards in Paediatric Surgery with an interest in paediatric surgical oncology.
- Full Registration with the PMDC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective time management and organizational skills.
