Eligibility / Qualification Required:
A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a dedicated and experienced PICU Nurse to join its pediatric critical care team. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing specialized nursing care to critically ill infants and children, with a strong understanding of pediatric intensive care protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level nursing care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).
- Monitor vital signs and respond to changes in condition with appropriate clinical interventions.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapy, and manage life-support equipment.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, intensivists, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support families by offering clear communication, emotional reassurance, and education on treatment plans and recovery.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all care provided.
- Adhere to hospital protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in emergency response situations and pediatric resuscitation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a PICU or similar pediatric critical care environment.
- Valid DHA License (Dubai Health Authority).
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- BLS and PALS certifications are mandatory.
- Strong clinical skills, pediatric care knowledge, and ability to manage high-stress situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly with children and families.
