About the Opportunity
Our client is currently seeking an experienced Operations Manager to support the launch and operational management of a new biscuit and bakery production facility in Kitwe, Zambia. This position is ideal for professionals with hands-on experience managing food production lines and overseeing manufacturing operations within the bakery, snack food, or FMCG industries.
This role focuses on ensuring efficient day-to-day factory operations, coordinating production teams, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring that production targets are achieved. The Operations Manager will play a key role in preparing the factory for commercial production and ensuring smooth operational performance.
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the production facility. The role requires close coordination with technical teams, production staff, maintenance personnel, and quality control teams to ensure the factory operates efficiently.
The successful candidate will ensure that production schedules are followed, equipment is operating effectively, and production staff are properly trained and supervised. The Operations Manager will also monitor production performance, identify operational improvements, and maintain strong adherence to food safety and quality standards.
