A two year postdoctoral position is available on grid based quantum chemistry on quantum computing devices, hosted through UNB’s QuNB quantum chemistry group with a collaborative second year hosted with the NRC Theory and Computation group in Ottawa. This postdoctoral fellowship research role targets quantum chemistry algorithms, Schrödinger equation methods, and quantum circuit design for digital quantum devices, aligned with Canada’s National Quantum Strategy and supported by the Applied Quantum Computing Challenge program of NRC.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- PhD in theoretical chemistry or a closely related field
- Interest and capability in theoretical development of grid based formalisms for time independent and time dependent Schrödinger equation methods
- Asset: experience with orbital based quantum computing approaches and quantum circuit design for quantum chemistry
- Ability to work across collaborating research groups and contribute to leadership through supervision of students

General Terms and Conditions:
