About the location: Four Seasons Resort Mallorca at Formentor, perched on the spectacular Formentor Peninsula and surrounded by panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the stunning landscape, first opened its doors in August 2024 following an extensive restoration and renovation of the historic property, originally inaugurated in 1929 on a vast private estate. After its successful debut, the resort will reopen to guests in March 2025, reaffirming its status as a unique destination of luxury and elegance on the island. About the role The Sommelier Supervisor is responsible for leading the wine programme and supporting the daily operations of the beverage service within our beach restaurant. This role combines expert wine knowledge with hands-on leadership, ensuring exceptional guest experiences while driving beverage sales and maintaining the highest standards of service. What you will do Curate and maintain the restaurant’s wine list in collaboration with the Food & Beverage leadership team. Recommend wine pairings and provide personalised guidance to guests. Deliver exceptional beverage service while creating memorable dining experiences. Supervise, coach, and support the restaurant team to ensure high service standards. Manage wine inventory, stock levels, ordering processes, and cellar organisation. Monitor beverage costs and contribute to achieving departmental financial goals. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and responsible alcohol service regulations. Collaborate closely with the culinary team to develop seasonal pairing experiences. Support daily restaurant operations and assist management as required. What you bring Previous experience as a Sommelier in a luxury hospitality or fine dining environment. Supervisory or leadership experience within Food & Beverage is preferred. Recognised sommelier certification (WSET, CMS, or equivalent) is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of international wines, spirits, and beverage trends. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English and Spanish is required; additional languages are an advantage.
