Commis 3 - Pastry Kitchen The Commis 3 - Pastry Kitchen assists the pastry team in the preparation, production, and presentation of desserts, pastries, and other sweet items in accordance with hotel standards. The role supports daily pastry operations while maintaining quality, consistency, and food safety standards. What You Will Do: Assist in the preparation and production of desserts, pastries, cakes, and other pastry items. Prepare ingredients and mise en place according to recipes and production requirements. Support the pastry team in maintaining product quality, consistency, and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper food storage within the work area. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards. Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently. Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food products using FIFO procedures. Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily pastry operations. Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Executive Chef. Qualifications: Certificate or Diploma in Pastry, Culinary Arts, or a related field preferred. Previous pastry or kitchen experience is an advantage. Basic knowledge of pastry preparation, dessert production, and food safety standards. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good teamwork, communication, and organizational skills. Able to work a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays as per business demands and needs. Must be able to speak, read, and write English and Bahasa Malaysia. Must have the right to work in Malaysia.
