Applications are invited for Compliance Officer (OG-I) in Compliance at National Bank of Pakistan (NBP).
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- **Education:** Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a local or international university / college / institute recognized by HEC / Pakistan. A Master's degree and / or any other relevant professional certification(s) will be an added advantage.
- **Experience:** Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in Regulatory Compliance and / or SBP Coordination and / or Audit.
- **Skills:**
- Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite including Excel and PowerBI tools.
- In-depth knowledge of banking operations / SBP regulations and banking laws.
- Ability to work under pressure, accomplish tasks with strict deadline, self-motivated and result driven.
- **Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:**
- Assist in developing corrective action plans for resolution of regulatory issues and ensure implementation of sustainable controls and ensure timely implementation. Review, track and escalate to management on closure.
- Compliance monitoring of overseas branches, including process reviews of different compliance areas with a view to identify and resolution of gaps in a timely manner.
- Review the status of regulatory updates (regulations, circulars, etc.) issued by the overseas regulators, Head Office and SBP. Review the action plan to monitor compliance.
- Coordinate with overseas branches on compliance systems implementation.
- Assist in preparation of agenda, minutes and trackers of the Branch Compliance Committee of Management / Head Office for various committees relevant compliance issue; track deadlines and ensure necessary escalation.
- Review all policies, procedures, manuals, frameworks, etc. of overseas branches for completeness. Follow-up, track and maintain detailed MIS of all documents in coordination with relevant departments and related HO policies.
- Review internal / external inspection and external reports of overseas branches; follow-up on action plan to ensure timely resolution and action status. Maintain MIS / inventory of observations. Escalate all timeline breaches for resolution.
- Coordinate with overseas Compliance Officers on all matters under their purview through regular phone calls, emails, and online meetings. Maintain a close working relationship with the overseas branches and their respective supervisors.
- Perform any other assignment as assigned by the supervisor(s).
