About the Role The Director of Finance provides strategic financial leadership and oversight for the hotel, ensuring sound financial management, strong internal controls, and compliance with Four Seasons standards and applicable regulations. This role partners closely with the General Manager and leadership team to drive financial performance, support business decisions, manage risk, and ensure the long-term financial health of the property. What You Will Do Lead and oversee all financial operations of the hotel, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Provide strategic financial guidance to the General Manager and leadership team to support business planning and operational decision-making. Prepare and review accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, reports, and forecasts in accordance with Four Seasons standards and applicable accounting principles. Develop and manage the annual operating budget, capital budget, and financial forecasts, ensuring alignment with the hotel's strategic objectives. Monitor hotel performance, revenues, expenses, profitability, and key financial indicators, identifying opportunities for improvement and cost optimization. Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard hotel assets and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations. Lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Purchasing, and other Finance functions, ensuring efficient and accurate financial processes. Partner with department heads to improve financial awareness, cost control, labor management, and overall departmental performance. Oversee cash management, banking relationships, purchasing controls, inventory procedures, and other financial processes to minimize risk and maximize operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, audit, and regulatory requirements and coordinate internal and external audits as required. Provide financial analysis and recommendations for capital investments, major projects, contracts, and other business initiatives. Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, continuous improvement, and collaboration. Ensure confidentiality and integrity of all financial information and maintain the highest standards of ethical conduct. What You Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional accounting designation such as CPA, ACCA, or equivalent is preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including leadership experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or hospitality environment. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, internal controls, and accounting principles. Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and partner effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
