Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Batterjee Medical College is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Biomedical Engineer to support biomedical engineering services across academic, laboratory, simulation, and clinical training facilities. The role focuses on ensuring the safety, functionality, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of medical and simulation equipment to support education, research, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot medical, laboratory, and simulation equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety testing for biomedical devices
- Ensure equipment readiness for teaching, practical sessions, examinations, and research activities
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, calibration logs, and asset documentation
- Support accreditation and audit requirements by ensuring compliance with standards and documentation
- Assist in equipment planning, procurement, installation, and commissioning processes
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and technical support
- Support equipment inspections, incident reporting, and corrective maintenance activities
- Assist in reviewing technical specifications and biomedical equipment requirements for new projects and expansions
- Provide technical support and basic training to faculty, staff, and laboratory teams where applicable
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, institutional policies, and biomedical engineering best practices
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related discipline
- Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration required
- Experience in medical colleges, hospitals, simulation centers, or healthcare facilities preferred
- Familiarity with medical, laboratory, and simulation equipment
- Basic knowledge of accreditation and regulatory standards is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems (CMMS preferred)
