Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) Vacancy Announcement

• Government of the Punjab, Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department invites applications from suitable and eligible candidates for Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF).
• Appointment will be on contract basis for an initial period of three years (extendable) on a lump sum pay package.
• Recruitment includes an MCQ based written test and interview. Test and interviews will be held in Lahore.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

• Post: Assistant Director (Legal)
• Total Posts: 16 (Open Merit: 14, Women Quota: 02)
• Education: LLB degree or equivalent with minimum 2nd division from a Higher Education Commission (HEC) recognized university.
• Experience Route A: 5 years practice as an Advocate in High Court. Preferably 2 years experience of working with government agencies or law firms.
• Experience Route B: 3 years practice as an Advocate in High Court if holding a postgraduate degree in Law. Preferably 2 years experience of working with government agencies or law firms.
• Note: Practical experience is required after the prescribed qualification.
• Age Limit: Male 30 to 40 years plus 5 years general relaxation (maximum 45 years). Female 30 to 40 years plus 8 years general relaxation (maximum 48 years).

• Applications may be sent through post or delivered by hand during office hours.
• Deadline: Applications must reach on or before 22 January 2026. Incomplete applications or those received after due date will not be entertained.
• Attach two recent photographs and attested photocopies of educational certificates, CNIC, Punjab domicile, and experience certificates.
• Attach a Postal Order of PKR 1,000 (non-refundable) in favor of Deputy Director (Admin), Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, Lahore.
• Government and semi government employees must apply through proper channel with a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the competent authority before the closing date.

General Terms and Conditions:

• Recruitment will be made under Government of Punjab Contract Appointment Policy 2004.
• Only shortlisted candidates will be called and there is no relaxation in age, education or other prescribed criteria beyond what is stated.
• Written test will be MCQs type of 100 marks with 90 minutes duration.
• Test Syllabus Part A (25%): General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Islamic Studies, English, Urdu, Every day Science, Basic Mathematics, Basic Computer Studies.
• Test Syllabus Part B (75%): Punjab Control of Narcotics Substances Act 2025, Control of Narcotics Substances Act 1997, Qanoon e Shahadat Ordinance 1984, Pakistan Penal Code, Code of Criminal Procedure.
• Shortlisted candidates must submit an affidavit stating they are not nominated, involved or wanted in any criminal case. False affidavit makes the candidate ineligible and may lead to legal action.
• If claiming equivalence of qualification, submit equivalence certificate from HEC or the concerned Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee.
• No TA or DA will be admissible at any stage of the selection process.
• Bring original educational certificates and other relevant documents at the time of interview.
• If any credential is found fake during verification, recruitment will be cancelled and legal action may be initiated.
• Information regarding test and interview schedule will be uploaded on the department website at least seven days before the scheduled date.
• Department reserves the right to amend or cancel the recruitment process at any stage without assigning any reason.
