The incumbent Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of Heavy type Transport Vehicles to transport personnel, machinery/equipment, and materials to operational and field locations. The driver shall be well versed and ensure compliance with national traffic laws & regulations, driving safety policies, and vehicle routine maintenance to support uninterrupted organizational operations. Training in Safe Driving is preferable.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Matriculate with a valid HTV Driving License with at least 05 years of relevant driving experience in a reputable organization in the same position
Job Description / Responsibilities:
- Operate HTVs (Heavy type Transport Vehicles) for the transportation of pipes, valves, compressors, corrosion and measurement maintenance equipment, generators, and other related materials to upcountry locations, including the Company’s franchise areas, as per the requirements communicated by the operational department.
- Strong and proactive appearance with clear medical record.
- Ensure safe loading, unloading, and proper securing of materials to prevent property damages or accidents.
- Clear & strong communication skills, easily communicate and speak Urdu & other local languages. Easily read and understand different transportation documents in English language.
- Conduct detailed daily walk pre and post-trip inspections (checking of engine, braking system, leakages, suspension, tires and hydraulic leakages etc.)
- Ensure compliance with axle load limits, route permits, road safety signs and hazardous area driving protocols.
- Strictly follow HSE policies and adherence to safe work practices in gas field environments.
- Maintain trip logs, fuel records, and material delivery documentation accurately.
- Coordinate with dispatcher, user department and field teams for timely movement of resources.
- Report vehicle faults, incidents, near-misses, or accidents immediately as per company procedures.
- Ensure vehicle readiness, timely schedule maintenance and troubleshooting of minor defects in vehicle to ensure emergency mobilization at any time.
- Maintain cleanliness, road-worthiness, and proper functioning of assigned vehicle.
- The incumbent should be well-versed in applicable traffic rules and regulations; capable of driving in remote and off-road conditions; possess basic mechanical troubleshooting skills; and be able to undertake long-distance and extended-hour driving, including working in extreme weather and challenging field environments.
