State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Central Bank, is looking for talented and energetic candidates for the following contractual positions in the IT Programs & Project Management Department based at Karachi.Key responsibilities of the incumbent will include, but not limited to, the following:
• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards to meet business requirements.
• Develop data cubes using tabular and/or multi-dimensional technology.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and integrity, and design solutions.
• Transform raw data into actionable insights using Power BI data visualization and dashboard development.
• Connect to and extract data from various data sources (e.g., SQL Server Analysis Services, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL and cloud data sources).
• Develop and maintain data models, relationships, and calculated measures.
• Implement data visualization best practices to create insightful and user-friendly dashboards.
• Ensure data accuracy, security, and privacy of client information.
• Provide training and support to end-users on Power BI usage.
• Stay up to date with new features and best practices in Power BI and related technologies.
Qualification:
Education:
• Minimum 16 years of education in IT, Computer Science/Systems, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Certifications required are:
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) certification.
• Designing and Implementing Enterprise-Scale Analytics Solutions Using Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Power BI (DP-500).
Age:
• Maximum 35 years, as on the last date of application submission.
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience of developing data cubes in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) using both the Tabular and/or Multi-dimensional models.
• Experience with data modelling, data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
• Experience of building measures in tabular model using DAX queries.
• Experience with implementation of on-prem Power BI Report Server would be a plus.
• Experience in automation of SSAS cube processing using XMLA queries.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.
• Strong proficiency in DAX, MDX and SQL queries and tuning.
• Knowledge of Oracle, Linux, and any scripting language.
Other Attributes:
• Good interpersonal communication skills.
• Willing to work in a challenging environment.
